A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out on Chili Village resident Garth Pompey, after his body washed ashore at the Colonarie beach yesterday morning.{{more}}

According to reports, Pompey, 37, and two friends went on a fishing trip at Mt Young on Friday, February 6 and while standing on a rock, a wave is said to have knocked Pompey into the water.

Police are investigating the matter.
