St Joseph’s Convent wins SSBQ again

When the draw took place for a winner of the December 2014 Secondary School Bible Quiz on Tuesday, January 13, Alexandria Bacchus of the St Joseph’s Convent Kingstown (SJCK) emerged winner.{{more}}

Bacchus received $150 cash, a copy of “Entrepreneurs of St Vincent and the Grenadines” and a $150 gift voucher from Acute Cosmetics.

In making the presentation at the school’s assembly, organizer Joel Jack reminded those present of Proverb 9:10: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

Alexandria Bacchus, who was commended for her regular participation by principal of the SJCK Calma Balcombe, is a repeat winner. She won the December 2013 monthly prize and was also the winner of the Frequent Participant’s Awards for 2013 and 2014.

Meanwhile quiz organizer Jack visited the North Union and the George Stephens Secondary Schools on Wednesday, January 14. At North Union he was able to share in bringing comfort to some grieving students and staff. (www.ssbq.org.)
