New passport requirements announced for all foreigners travelling to Turkey

Effective January 1, 2015, all foreigners travelling to Turkey will be required to carry a passport that is at least valid for 60 days after the visa, visa immunity or residence permit expiration for entry into Turkey.{{more}}

A release said holders of the Official Passports (Diplomatic, Special and Service) will be exempted from the above mentioned application.

The Embassy of Turkey has also brought to the attention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Commerce and Information Technology that provisions of the International Agreements to which Turkish Government is party and the specific rules envisaged in the Turkish laws will continue to be valid.
