Twenty-four women take part in make up artistry course

Twenty-four women are now more knowledgeable about makeup application thanks to a one-day intense training course put on by top local makeup artist Amirh Dennie.

The makeup artistry course was held at the Haddon Hotel Conference room, on Saturday{{more}} December 13 and saw the participants engaging in aspects of skin care, perfecting foundation application,the art of contouring; brow and face sculpting, highlights and low lights, lash extensions, bridal and airbrush makeup.

At the conclusion, participants were awarded with certificates of completion.

In an interview with SEARCHLIGHT, Dennie said the interactive course is perfect for anyone who wants to learn application techniques and how to achieve specific looks.

“You would leave this class feeling like a professional,” the petite Dennie stated.

Students Zahra Defreitas and Renee Simmons, who worked as a team, described the class as “fun” and noted that they learnt a lot of new makeup tips and tricks which they will now apply to their makeup application routine.

The newly certified women are: Jeon Adams, Benarva Browne, Samantha Browne, Shafika Cato, Lafeisha Cottle, Zahra Defreitas, Christanna Greaves, Keira Inniss, Alicia Job, Janine John, Edna Jones, Nakeisha Nero, Resa Noel, Shevina Prince, Romancia Robertson, Michele Samuel, Shemma Sayers, Josanna Semper, Joselle Simper, Renee Simmons, Atiah Stephens, Janelle Thomas, Tamara Toney and Shereeka Williams.

Dennie expressed thanks to her face model and assistant Arisha Pompey and Kelsie Haynes, respectively.

Dennie further expressed gratitude her mother Dawn Lawrence Dennie, Jodi Marshall, Terissa Antoine, Dwight Davis, Multigraphics Cloud 9 Images, JustJeon Accessories and the management and staff of Pitt Stop Restaurant and Haddon Hotel.
