The meeting was well attended and also included foreign-based producers via Skype. An executive board was elected to steer the association over the years ahead as follows: Mark Cyrus, president; Alex Barnwell, vice-president; Lester Iroha, treasurer; Rohan Bullock, P.R.O; Leighton Adams, secretary; and Travis “Wiz Kid” Lynch, Kenneth “Scakes” Alleyne, Kevin “Shady” Sardine, committee members.

The association was formed to raise the overall standard of music coming out of SVG and to help producers improve their skills through collaboration, networking, technical advice and training. PMP will also act as a voice for the working professional music producer and will aid in raising funds for first class recording facilities here. PMP will also work hand in hand with other professional music bodies such as the Association of Music Professionals and the Vincentian Association of Artists, Writers and Producers, ECCO and other music organizations to encourage and train young talent to become certified members.

The board will meet to set their mandate and will quickly move to open registration for potential members. For further information, PMP can be reached on: https://www.facebook.com/professionalmusicproducers or email professionalmusicproducers@gmail.com
