Brighton Methodist School hosts exhibition
The Brighton Methodist School hosted a âFrom whence we cameâ exhibition at the school on Wednesday.
The exhibition was held to commemorate St Vincent and the GrenaÂdinesâ 35th anniversary of Independence.{{more}} Items on display included the flat iron, goose, flambeau, kerosene lantern, mortar and pestle, bamboo joint, straw baskets, straw mats, straw hats, food mills, rag dolls, hand saw and hoes.
Earlier this week, the school was also in the limelight, having performed at the Taiwanese Scholarship Award ceremony on Tuesday.
This weekâs exhibition was followed by an Independence Quiz. This quiz saw representatives from all classes from Grade K to 6 vying for class honours, in which they were required to answer questions related to Independence.
Yesterday, Thursday, the students were involved in a march and rally on the school grounds. At this rally the students displayed their talent in dance, singing, drumming and drama. The Independence message from the Minister of Education Girlyn Miguel was also read.
To culminate the week of activities the Parent Teacher Association will be hosting a concert at the school tomorrow, Saturday, October 25. commencing at 4 p.m.
