Last week representatives from MABE, Frigidaire and Whirlpool visited St Vincent and the Grenadines, as part of Suppliers Week at the Kingstown branch of the furniture and appliance store.

On Tuesday, September 9, MABE brand representative Ivan Flores handed over a 14-cubic foot refrigerator to the Green Hill Evangelical Church Pre-school. Flores said that the 60-year-old Mexico-based company was happy to contribute to the corporate cause of Courts St Vincent Limited.

On Wednesday, Gustavo Castro, sales manager for Frigidaire appliances in the Caribbean, also handed over a 14-cubic-foot fridge to the National Insurance Services Golden Years Activity Centre, in Black Point, Georgetown.

Castro said that Frigidaire was happy to support Courts in its social corporate responsibility, and was proud to be handing over the appliance to the elderly of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Then, on Thursday, the Association for Persons with Disabilities was on the receiving end of a Whirlpool washer, which was handed over by Felix Bergollo, sales manager for Whirlpool Caribbean.

The official said that his company was “really pleased and happy” to help in the cause and in giving back to the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

“Everything is not only about dollars and cents; we have a responsibility also with Courts to fulfill other needs and we hope that this will fulfill these needs and we are proud to be part of this venture,” Bergollo said.
