NTRC to host community discussion in Vermont

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) will be hosting a community discussion at the Community Centre in Vermont on August 28 at 7 p.m.{{more}}

Presentations will be made by senior officials from the NTRC.

The topics to be discussed include: The increasing role that the NTRC is playing within the telecom sector; the Internet, school and payphone projects being implemented by the NTRC and the upcoming projects that Vincentians will benefit from; issues affecting residents in Vermont with respect to the telecommunications services being provided by LIME, Digicel and Karib Cable; cyber security, which involves technologies and processes designed to protect computers, networks and data from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities and attacks delivered through the Internet by cyber criminals.

The public is invited to attend this important discussion.
