The release stated that the camps are open to boys and girls from Grade 4 and above and are priced at $10 per child for one week, with a snack included each day.

“The camp focuses on teaching the foundations of the sport of tag rugby through fun and interactive games, while building character and promoting life skills,” the release said.

“The camp ties in to the greater goals of the SVG RUFC, chiefly the newly initiated Youth Programme, which delivers tag rugby courses to primary and secondary age students throughout mainland SVG.”

The first camp began yesterday at the Calliaqua Playing Field and will run until August 8.

From August 11 to August 15, the camp will be held at the Georgetown Playing Field, while from August 18 to August 22, the camp will be held at the Keartons Playing Field.

The last week of camp will be held at the Chateaubelair Playing Field, from August 25 to August 29.

All camps begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. each day.
