Cocoa producers meeting to be held today

A meeting of the Cocoa Producers’ Co-operative Society Limited will be held this afternoon at Frenches House.

Interim chair Oscar Allen said an invitation is extended to farmers and interested persons to attend the general meeting, which begins at 4 p.m.{{more}}

The meeting will receive reports, elect directors, and outline a way forward for the Vincentian Cocoa Industry.

“This meeting is strategically important because COPCO is well poised to negotiate a joint venture in cocoa processing; and all farmers need to be on board. COPCO encourages farmers and interested persons to consider purchasing shares in the Society,” a release from the meeting’s organizers said.
