The ten were named on Wednesday, July 23, during a press conference at the St Vincent Brewery Ltd at Campden Park.

They are Sheldon Anderson (Questelles), Alfred Howe (Chateaubelair), Lawrence Stephens (Park Hill), Cherise Durrant (Reeves Level), Alex Thomas (Glamorgan), Errol Haywood (Akers), Cherry-Ann Baptiste (South Rivers), Nani Billingy (Buccament Bay), Carlos John (Ottley Hall) and Kelly-Ann Sam (Town Hill).

According to operations commercial manager at the St Vincent Brewery Limited Shafia London-Williams, when the curtains come down on the promotion today Friday July 25 at the Solidarity Inc Car Park, it will be in the form of a live game show where the ten finalists will each chose a key that will open doors behind which are great “and not so great prizes.”

Explaining how the finals will work, London-Williams said that there will be two doors set up on the stage at the Solidarity Inc. Car Park. Behind these two doors, two different prizes will be placed and each finalist will pick a random key and try that key in the doors. The finalist whose key opens a door wins the prize behind that door.

After the first two doors are opened, the locks will be changed on these doors and other prizes put behind the doors and the process of finalists trying their keys repeated. The doors will be opened at 30 minute intervals until all ten finalists have opened a door and won a prize.

“They all try one door (the same door) and the person whose key opens the door walks away with whatever is behind the door and the others continue to try until their keys opens a door,” said London-Williams.

Prizes behind five of the doors are huge: a trip for two to Crop Over in Barbados, a room of cash (thousands of dollars), a truckload of beers (valued at thousands of dollars), a man cave (couch, fridge of Hairoun beer, television) and a BMW Z4 while some prizes are small, such as a tricycle, a pot set, an ironing board, a teddy bear with a six pack Hairoun and A 4G LIME handset with credit.

“It will all be a matter of luck and chance as we hold our breaths for the finalist every time a door is opened,” said London-Williams.

She added that the main prize, the BMW Z4 will be behind one of the last two doors to be opened.

For those unfamiliar with the ‘Hairoun Unlock your CARnival’ promotion, the St Vincent Brewery asked people to look under their Hairoun beer crowns to win instant prizes such as LIME credit and 4G handsets, free Hairoun beer and cash.

People who found a “red door” under their Hairoun crown were officially entered in today’s finals. However London-Williams explained that up to press time Wednesday, only six people had found red doors.

The Brewery, in anticipation that all ten doors would not be found had also asked people to place six Hairoun crowns in an envelope with their name and number in specially marked boxes at Hairoun outlets.

Four of these envelopes were pulled during a draw on Wednesday at the Brewery. The draw was witnessed by members of the media and done by journalist Kenville Horne.

Selected by draw were Baptiste, Billingy, John and Sam while Anderson, Howe, Stephens, Durrant, Thomas and Haywood found the red doors.

It was made clear at Wednesday’s press briefing that people taking part in the promotion must be 18 years or older and must arrive at the venue at the start of the promotion.

The promotion was launched on May 23 at Heritage Square and during the two-month promotion, several Hairoun consumers won prizes including cash, Hairoun six-packs, carnival show tickets, carnival costumes, LIME 4G phones and LIME credit.
