The SJCM Elite Business Club hosted their 2nd annual leadership seminar at the St Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua under the theme “Forming leaders in a rapidly changing business world – Dare to be different, think outside of the box.”{{more}}

The seminar was geared towards developing the leadership skills of the board of advisors, the executive committee and the chairpersons of other committees. On Monday, July 21, seventeen club members along with five students representing the West St George Secondary School participated in an all day seminar with sessions that helped to hone their leadership skills.

The facilitator of this year’s seminar was Rhonda Lee, the school’s guidance counsellor. Participants were encouraged to identify their own leadership strengths and limitations and to use the skills and information gained during the day to help their peers develop leadership skills and to become better leaders in their school and communities. At the end of the day, participants were given an outline to work together to develop a common business plan which they would try to implement in the new school term.

This year’s leadership seminar ended with a prize giving ceremony where the club’s founder and CEO presented participants with certificates. The SJCM Elite Business Club continues to work to help develop the business mind of its members while transforming the business world. The next event on the club’s calendar is its annual induction and awards camp in October 2014.
