SVG gets its third Distinguished Toastmaster

Toastmaster Nigel Scott is now the third Vincentian toastmaster to be awarded the highest education award a toastmaster can achieve-Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM).

Toastmaster Scott, who received his award on June 25, 2014, has been a toastmaster for six years. {{more}}He began as a charter member of the Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club in 2008, and has served in several executive positions in his club including president 2009-2010. More recently, he served on the Caribbean Toastmasters District Executive as an area governor (2012-13) and division governor (2013-14).

All toastmasters embark as new members along two simultaneous tracks developing both communication and leadership skills. The pinnacle of this journey is to receive the award of Distinguished Toastmaster. The recognition plaque from Toastmasters International reads “Distinguished Toastmaster recognition is given to Nigel Scott by Toastmasters International for outstanding accomplishment and leadership excellence in the pursuit of the mission of Toastmasters International”.

Toastmaster Scott follows in the footsteps of Distinguished Toastmasters Monica Woodley and Jacinta Elliot, the first two Vincentian toastmasters to receive this prestigious award.
