Happy video a success

American Grammy and Academy Award winner Pharrell Williams has tweeted and posted on his Facebook wall, his happiness with this country’s version of his “Happy” song’s video.{{more}}

Williams, through his company Creative Community Organization/I am OTHER, liked, shared, and commented on Facebook about the video, which was unveiled earlier this month.

He also took to Twitter, where he shared the Facebook comment: “Shout out to St Vincent and the Grenadine Islands for helping us spread good vibes with their own HAPPY video.”

The video, which shows Vincentians and visitors dancing to the song, was filmed and edited over seven weeks.

Since its launch, the video has passed over 45,000 viewers on Facebook.

Alexei Crichton, the Happy SVG project manager said that the recognition by Williams is a source of encouragement, which made the effort to produce the video even more worthwhile.

“We are aware that there have been thousands and thousands of HAPPY videos submitted to I am OTHER everyday, so we are incredibly proud that our video was posted over several others.”(JJ)
