No arrest yet in business executive’s abduction, robbery case – CID head

Up to press time yesterday, no arrests were made in the matter where a business executive was abducted, robbed and left at Sion Hill Bay.

Head of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) ASP Sydney James told SEARCHLIGHT that investigations are still continuing {{more}}into the matter.

James said that at about 1:25 a.m. on July 13, Jimmie Forde, head of the food division of Coreas Hazells Inc, was making his way from the Victoria Park, when he was accosted by two masked gunmen in the North River Road area.

According to James, Forde’s assailants placed him in the trunk of his white, Nissan Tiida car, drove to Sion Hill Bay, where he was tied up and relieved of $800 in cash.

Forde is said to have suffered an injury to his face. Police could not confirm if Forde received medical treatment at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

His car was found at New Montrose yesterday, July 14.

The vehicle, which was seen yesterday in the parking lot of the Central Police Station, had a large hole in the top left hand corner of the windshield. The right front door also had a large indentation and there were scratches all over the car’s body. There were also no licence plates on the vehicle.
