Bequia Anglican Primary class of 2014

On Tuesday, July 1, the Bequia Anglican Primary School held its graduation ceremony at the St Mary’s Anglican Church. The principal Madge Hazell reported on the performance for the year.

The school participated in and received awards for the following: finals of Courts Reading Competition {{more}}– Jaynese Providence; finals of Christmas Music Festival – Brielle Compton and Oslya Ollivierre; third place at Ministry of Tourism of Choral Speaking Competition; overall Under-Nine Champion at Interschool Sports – Matthew Robinson; Bequia Tourism Public Speaking Competition winner – Oslya Ollivierre; finals of Kiddi Cricket Quiz – Josh Stowe and Chris Pollard.

A Health Fair held on May 29 helped to inform about healthy living and the disease Chikunguyna.

There was a 93.5 pass rate at the CPEA; 29 of 31 students passed. Twelve students placed in the first 500. The most outstanding performer at CPEA was Oslya Ollivierre, placing 21st for females and 40th overall. Other females in the first hundred were Felecia Hutchins, Keyona King and Arianne Stowe. The others making up the 12 are Krishauna Lewis, Chris Pollard, Tinesha Arrindell, D’yonte Telemaque, Desiree Thompson, Breah Ollivierre, Aliyah Ollivierre and Jasmin Gregg.

The school would like to thank all the people who have contributed to its success, especially the hardworking staff. A special thank you to the parents for donating new graduation gowns to the school.
