Fair Hall man killed en route to shop

Circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a Fair Hall/South Wood man are still unclear, with residents of the area remaining mum about what transpired Tuesday evening.{{more}}
Dead is 23-year-old Teshorne Richards, who police say was shot multiple times about his body while walking to a shop in the vicinity of his home, at about 8:40 p.m on Tuesday.
SEARCHLIGHT understands that Richards died on the spot.
When SEARCHLIGHT visited Richardsâ home on Wednesday, a relative of the deceased declined to speak with us, stating that she was not in the mood to talk to anyone.
Since February 7, 2014, gunmen have taken the lives of three men in the neighbouring communities of Glen, Golden Vale and Fair Hall, while three others, who also sustained gunshot wounds, have since recovered.
Commissioner of Police Michael Charles, in a recent interview with SEARCHLIGHT, said that measures are being put in place to deal with the escalation of gun crimes in the East St George communities.(KW)
