Clarke to represent SVG in inaugural Regional Piano Recital
St Vincent and the Grenadines will be represented by Delvon Clarke at the first Regional Piano Recital, to be held in St Kitts/Nevis this Sunday, 22 June 2014.{{more}}
Clarke, who is a student of the Alphasound Studio Music Academy, will play the 2014 ABRSM Grade 5 Piece âSamba-leleâ by Hector Villa-Lobos and âAfrica to America: We Are The World,â by Michael Jackson et al, the St Vincent and the Grenadines Music Association has announced.
The recital will be held under the auspices of Governor General of St Kitts/ Nevis Sir Edmund Lawrence.
After celebrations on Saturday evening, hosted by and under the auspices of St Kitts Prime Minister Denzil Llewlyn Douglas, this major regional event breaks into history.
The host music school in St Kitts is the Irv Swanston School of Music, with major sponsor being RBTT. Representatives from Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada, St Kitts/Nevis, St Lucia, St Maarten, and St Vincent and the Grenadines will take part.
