Man shot in attempted robbery
Richland Park resident Carlyle Pompey has been treated and discharged from the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) after being shot during an attempted robbery.{{more}}
Police are said to be investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting of Pompey, 42, a sailor, which took place at Richmond Hill on Friday, June 6.
According to reports, at about 10:20 p.m., Pompey was walking in the area at the back of the Postal Corporation building in Kingstown when two masked men approached him and demanded his belongings.
Pompey, who is said to have put up resistance against his attackers, was shot in his right thigh.(KW)
