Ragga soca and soca registration open

Registration for the ragga soca and soca competitions organized by the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) closes on Friday, June 14.{{more}}

A release from the CDC says persons interested in participating in these competitions may collect registration forms from the CDC office.

Preliminary judging for the Ragga Soca competition would be done on Saturday, June 14 and preliminary judging for the Soca Monarch competition would be done on Monday, June 16, at a venue to be announced. The competitions will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Victoria Park.

All registration forms must be accompanied by a copy of the song on a CD, which should be ready for airplay.

Artistes are also reminded that the registration fee of $30.00 must be paid to the SVGCA Inc. Failure to do such would result in the non-judgment of the CD.
