When contacted on Wednesday, Commissioner of Police said police officers recently submitted the report, but he did not peruse it.

“I didn’t even look through it,” Charles told SEARCHLIGHT adding that he was not in a position to say when the report would be returned to him.

The 49-year-old Thomas of Sharpes Village, Chateaubelair, died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital one day after she collapsed while police conducted a search of her home on February 27, 2014.

Her death attracted national attention and sparked debate about the conduct of the police officers who carried out the search.

Parliamentary Representative for North Leeward Roland “Patel” Matthews had made a call on the relevant authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Thomas.
