The heavy rains of the recent trough system caused immense damage to the furnishings, as well as the structural frame of Delpesche’s house, to the point where she was forced to relocate.
According to a release from Coreas, the unemployed homeowner received little assistance from family and friends; however, she remained very determined to rebuild her place of residence.
Delpesche, a regular customer of Coreas Hazells, began rebuilding her home by taking advantage of the company’s extended discount, afforded to those affected by the December rains. Unfortunately, her funds were exhausted before the roof of her newly constructed home could be completed, prompting her to write a letter to Coreas seeking assistance, the release said.
“The company, which has developed a reputation for assisting similar ventures in the past, responded favourably to her request and provided the Buccament resident with plywood, lumber and other building materials to complete her goals,” the release said.
âI have to thank Coreas with all my heart; is a company that does real help people,â opined Delpesche, who also described the moment as a humbling experience.
Divisional manager of Building Supplies Brian George stated that the donation to Delpesche is nothing short of what the company has been doing over the years. He added that the company was happy that it could readily assist and will continue to do so for persons in need.
