The artwork was originally created for BOSVG’s Calendar 2014, “Pan on Canvas,” which has received public acclaim for its colourful publication. CYAM, founded in 2004, is a group of students and graduates of SVGCC and other artists who collaborate in community art projects.

Featured in the “Colours of Steel” exhibition is the artwork of Joy Celestine, Sean Roache, Olivia Stephens, Oranzo Gumbs, Kithesha James, Roland Layne and Leytisha Jack, a collective of young artists who graduated from SVGCC’s Art and Design programme between the years 2003 and 2013. The artwork is done in a wide variety of media and techniques: acrylic paint; oil pastel; charcoal; screen print and collage.

CYAM extends thanks BOSVG for continuing to provide support through its focus on youth development through the arts.

“COLOURS OF STEEL” will open at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 26 at BOSVG’s ground floor foyer and continue until June 14.
