On April 4, a new sports bar and chill spot, Epic Sports Bar and Restaurant, was officially opened in Kingstown.

Located on the top floor of the Computec Building on Egmont Street, the new establishment promises to fulfill sports and entertainment needs, as well as offer local cuisine with an added flare.

“It is basic local type food…geera pork, bakes and shark – it’s not like the bake you serve here. It’s a nice, fluffy bake, with fried shark and lovely trimming,” Sandra, one of the restaurant’s managers, explained.

While looking at their sporting activities on a flat screen television, persons can enjoy quality food at reasonable prices.

The menu ranges from pork in ginger coconut sauce and pan-seared fish with tomato and pineapple salsa to fish broth, Buffalo wings and a variety of burgers.

“It’s a sports bar; we have the big screen and stuff like that. We’d be doing sporting events for people who want to come up and look at their games and stuff like that,” the co-manager said.

Persons interested in viewing upcoming sporting events such as the ICC World Twenty20, UEFA Champions League and Golf US Open can do so in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that Epic offers.

Special offers will also be available on Fridays, to accommodate the usual after work lime.

Epic Sports Bar and Restaurant is open from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 midnight. For more information, persons can call 431-0008 or 528-3742.
