Students of Grades 4, 5 and 6 displayed their aptitude in playing the steel pan, when they performed various gospel songs for their schoolmates and parents.
In brief remarks before the proceedings, headteacher Yvette Antoine outlined to the school body, the importance of giving God thanks.
âWe could have allowed you to play any song, but we have chosen to given Him praise and thanks through the steel pan,â Antoine said.
As the students began to play various gospel songs, including âI will sing of your love foreverâ and âI command my hands to praise the Lord,â parents, teachers and students could be seen singing along and dancing to the well played renditions.
On March 24, the school hosted their annual Gospel Festival where students also showcased their talents, with the aim of giving thanks and praise to God.
Antoine expressed her thanks to music teacher Keslon âTaffaâ Wilson, who organized both events and continues to encourage the children through music. (BK)
