Dennie, who owns and operates ‘Makeup by AmirhD’ told SEARCHLIGHT that the class, which was held at the Grenadines House conference room, Kingstown Park, was a way of educating women on the world of make-up art.

The 15 women who were in attendance were engaged in sessions on the history of make-up, skin care, tools/accessories, shopping for supplies, a live demonstration showing eyebrow sculpting techniques and highlighting/contouring.

The young lasses were also placed into groups and assigned to models to create a look of their choice.

“The students did a great job. I am super proud,” Dennie said.

Dennie, who started Makeup by AmirhD in 2010, said over the years, her love for cosmetics constantly grew and noted that she became mostly interested in learning about how make-up can transform someone’s appearance.

“My aim is to help women look and feel beautiful both inside and out,” she added.

Makeup by AmirhD provides make-up artistry services for all occasions. Her clientele includes the Network SVG, Mirage Mas Band, Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines (BOSVG) and Buccament Bay Resort.

Dennie expressed gratitude to her mother, Dawn Audrey Dennie for her continuous prayers, encouragement and support, leading up to the event.

She also thanked her sponsors: Caribbean Medical Imaging Centre, Antrobus Supermarket, Coreas Hazells, Kronik TV, Cloud 9 Images and the management and staff at the Grenadines House.

Interested persons can also look forward to other sessions by Dennie in May and June.
