GECCU launches on-line financial service ‘GECCU online’

The General Employees, Co-operative Credit Union Limited will be changing the landscape of the local co-operative movement with the launch of its on-line financial services as part of its GECCU LINK-24 services.{{more}}

The service promises to connect the membership both locally and abroad with the many services that GECCU has to offer using any on-line portal. Through this on-line facility, “GECCU ONLINE,” members can update their personal information, perform balance inquiries, transfer funds from accounts, apply for a loan and pay their bills on-line.

In addition to this on-line service, GECCU has also created a Mobile App for its members. The App will allow members to access information about GECCU, including the different services and loan products available. The App is free and can be used with any Android and iOS devices. These services promise to be welcomed additions to the other services that the credit union already offers. A soft launch of these two new products was rolled out to the staff of GECCU on February 27th, 2014 and an official launch of the services to the general membership will take place on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014.

Chief executive officer of GECCU Limited Lennox Bowman says that “the provision of these two new services is in keeping with GECCU’s trust to expand our range of services, provide new services and to use up-to-date technology to assist in the delivery of these services to our members.”

These on-line services will be an exciting addition to the co-operative movement and the financial industry. Being the first credit union to launch such a service, GECCU promises constant updates to all its services and encourages its members to sign up at any of their branches for its online services and download the mobile app free of charge.
