Cabinet secretary Kattian Barnwell confirmed yesterday that the training for one group of persons will begin on Thursday and continue up until next week.

“The official assignments will start from the 17th of March,” Barnwell told SEARCHLIGHT.

The SET programme was announced by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves on December 10, when he presented the estimates of revenue and expenditure for the 2014 budget, at a sitting of Parliament.

Gonsalves stated that EC$1.5 million will be allocated to the programme, which will employ 80 university and Community College graduates for a year. (BK)
