At about 3:45 p.m., two shots rang out across the busy market area, sending pedestrians running for cover.

SEARCHLIGHT understands that an employee of St Hill Insurance, located on the Grenville Street side of the bank was allegedly assaulted and cash taken from him, as he made his way to make a night deposit, and was accompanied by his young daughter.

One eyewitness said that after the shots were fired, the bandit was seen running in the direction of Paul’s Avenue. One bullet allegedly struck the wall of the bank, a few feet from a vendor.
