Pastor at the church, Karlson Samuel, presented the cheque to president of the society, Patricia Cumberbatch, as part of their annual church service held specially for the organization.

Samuel said the special service has been going on for the past six years, and the church collects a special offering, which is contributed to the society.

“It is a means of us showing our appreciation and identifying with those who have disabilities. It gives us great joy to partner with them and we look forward to it every year where we can do this,” Samuel said.

Speaking briefly, Cumberbatch expressed appreciation to Samuel and his church for partnering with the society over the years.

“They have really been a tower of strength and encouragement to us…” Cumberbatch said.

Stating that 2013 was difficult financially, Cumberbatch said she still gave God thanks, and thanks him for the help of Samuel and his church.
