Charles disclosed this earlier this week while speaking to reporters at the Central Police Station.
âWe can see that crime is on the decrease according to our stats. However, there is growing concern for the incidence of rape and violence towards persons,â Charles said.
He said the hierarchy is looking at strategic plans for those areas throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines where crimes are being committed.
âThis is the way we plan to go. We canât ease up on training because it is very important to us…,â Charles told reporters.
The newly confirmed Commissioner said he along with other members of the hierarchy and other divisional officers will sit to discuss and chart the way forward for the organization.
âThis is not just the commissioner. We will be meeting with other stakeholders, (including) citizens because this is the only way we can move forward; by working as one with the citizens of St Vincent and the Grenadines,â he said.
