Film, Fine Arts and Fashion festival opens next week
The Department of Culture in the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture will host its 6th annual âFilm, Fine Arts and Fashionâ festival between Tuesday, January 28, and Saturday, February 1, 2014.{{more}}
This year, the festivalâs theme will be âTake Care of the Earth,â and is a reminder of the effects of the disastrous 2013 Christmas Eve weather system.
The activities will be showcased in five locations: Bequia Community High School – Tuesday, January 28, North Union Learning Resource Centre and Georgetown Secondary School – Wednesday, January 29, Barrouallie Learning Resource Centre – Thursday, January 30, and on Friday January, 31 and Saturday, February 1, at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown.
The department invites the general public to visit the exhibition at each of these locations.
The closing ceremony takes place at the Peace Memorial Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31. (This is to accommodate the benefit concert scheduled for Saturday evening). It will include an energetic fashion show, a video show and other forms of entertainment.
