The group journeyed to the North Leeward district of Sharpes, Chateaubelair, on Saturday January 18, where they handed out packages to persons who were affected by the 2013 Christmas Eve floods.
Latty stressed that Digicel will continue to help persons in the communities affected by the floods.
âWe will continue to help those affected. We are here to assist because without the people no company including Digicel can exist. We love our communities and we will continue to assist the less fortunate in this time of great need,â Latty said.
One of the persons benefiting from Digicelâs kind gesture was Annis McDowall of Sharpes, Chateaubelair.
McDowall said that her home was entirely flooded out and she lost everything. On Saturday she received a mattress, pillows, sheets and food stuff from Digicel.
âI am very glad to get these and tonight would be more comfortable for me and my familyâ, she said on Saturday.
