The event, which will take place on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15, is being organized by a committee comprising the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture, the Kingstown Cruise Terminal and several other partners.

Christmas Festival 2013 will make the wide variety of cuisine found here in St Vincent and the Grenadines available to the general public for sampling and purchase, the release said.

Local craft producers will also showcase their wares and will offer items, including gifts for sale. A package of entertainment will also be a feature of this event. The general public will be treated to song and dance, and will be given the opportunity to witness the creativity of our local designers in a fashion show.

“Our children will also be given their share of enjoyment. A Kids’ Corner will be set up with a variety of entertaining activities for children,” the release said.

This is the first Christmas Festival to be held at the Kingstown Cruise Terminal, and it is anticipated to create the atmosphere for the Christmas season and to engage the enthusiasm and participation of Vincentians. The activities for Christmas Festival 2013 will be as follows: Saturday, 14 – between 12 noon and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 15 – from 2 p.m. until. Entrance to the Food, Craft and Entertainment area will be $5.00 for adults. Children under 12 years will enter without charge.
