Vincy gets 12 years in prison for stabbing two men in UK
A Vincentian living in the United Kingdom (UK) was, earlier this month, sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.{{more}}
According to bucksfreepress.co.uk, Allinjah Junior Williamsâ jail sentence comes as a result of stabbing two men on April 7, 2013, after a party at the Hilltop Community Centre, High Wycombe, where he was confronted about trying to steal a speaker box.
A reliable source informed SEARCHLIGHT that Williams attempted to steal a speaker box while the sound system was being loaded into a van.
When one of the persons responsible for the equipment confronted Williams, a fight ensued and Williams attacked him with a knife.
Reports state that one of the victims, who is also Vincentian, received multiple stab wounds to his abdomen and neck, causing a bruised kidney, torn muscles and internal bleeding. A British national, who tried to intervene, also received stabs to his chest.
The source indicated that after the incident, both victims were rushed to the Wycombe Hospital, however, the Vincentian was transferred to the Stoke Mandeville Hospital to undergo surgery, because of his condition.
SEARCHLIGHT understands that the victim was on life support for two days following his surgery.
Williams, who had fled the scene, was arrested later on the day of the incident.
According to reports, the assailant admitted to being at the event; however, he denied all allegations related to the stabbing and pleaded not guilty.
He was remanded into custody.
Evidence in court showed that the entire incident was captured on CCTV belonging to the Community Centre and on October 2, 2013, Williams changed his plea to guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and unlawful wounding.
On November 5, at the Reading Crown Court, Williams was sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison.(BK)
