Pharmacy symposium to sensitize health professionals about access to safe medicines

A symposium which seeks to sensitize health professionals about ensuring that people have access to safe, effective, good quality medicines and that they are used properly, will be held tomorrow.{{more}}

The St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) Pharmacy Council, in collaboration with Ministry of Health,Wellness and the Environment and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Pharmaceutical Procurement Services (OECS PPS), will present a symposium on the theme: “Pharmacy Practice in SVG,” at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown, on November 2, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The topics to be covered are: Overview and Application of Pharmacy Laws in SVG; Safe Disposal of Pharmaceutical Waste; A Drug Utilization Review of the Elderly in a Nursing Home; Counterfeit Drugs Kill.
