Kayrel gets PM’s award, six others awarded National Scholarships
Kayrel Edwards has been awarded with the Prime Ministerâs award for her outstanding performance in the May/June 2013 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE).{{more}}
According to a press release from the Ministry of Education, Edwards gained grade one passes in Biology (CAPE – Units 1 and 2), Chemistry (CAPE – Units 1 and 2), Physics (CAPE – Units 1 and 2), Pure Mathematics (CAPE – Units 1 and 2) and Communication Studies (CAPE – Unit 1). She also obtained a grade two pass in Caribbean Studies (CAPE – Unit 1).
Six other students were awarded with National Scholarships for their outstanding performances in the May/June 2013 CAPE and General Certificate of Education (GCE) A Level Examinations.
These students include River Providence, Raheem Hall, Shontel Murphy, Stephanie Providence, Taj Lee and Allana Cumberbatch.
The awardees claimed their awards yesterday at the Schoolsâ Independence Rally.
All recipients of the National Scholarship Awards will receive full funding for a five-year period of university study.
