Night Riders make donation

The Night Riders, a non profit organization, conceptualized by the late Lucien “Saluche” Small, has come to the aid of a needy elderly couple.{{more}}

Mrs Mapp, who is an amputee and in a wheelchair, has been taken care of, for sometime now, by her husband Samuel.

However, a few months ago, Samuel suffered a stroke, which left him bedridden. His wheelchair bound wife thus experiences great difficulty taking care of him.

The Mapps are members of the Night Riders, and the organization came to their aid by providing them with a hamper and adult disposable diapers.

Public Relations officer of the group Julian Guy said that the Night Riders were made aware of the plight of the couple through one of their members, who saw the need for the donation, taking into account the physical condition of the couple.

Guy said it is not the first time the organization has made a contribution.

“We have given in the past; wheelchair, prosthesis leg, feed the less fortunate, including the Lewis Punett home and the mental asylum, as well as help in roof renovation, a foot path and toilet facility. But it’s the first time we are going public,” he said.

Guy also urged members of the Night Riders to come forward and give assistance where possible and to purchase the T-shirts, which are available to help raise funds.
