ECCU holds one-day workshop for secondary school teachers

A one-day workshop for secondary school teachers of business subjects, hosted by the East Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU), was hailed as a success by ECCU officials.{{more}}

The workshop, held at the local East Caribbean Central Bank office at Frenches House last Wednesday, was conducted via video conferencing with teachers from the other members of the Currency Union, namely Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, and St Lucia.

The workshop was aimed at improving teachers’ technical and practical understanding of business issues that would be passed on to their students.

Facilitators used a number of techniques during the session to stimulate the interest of, and appeal to the different learning styles of the participants.

The teachers from the nine participating secondary schools were involved in group discussions, individual and group activities, as well as games and practical sessions.
