The contests, staged at Frenches House before a moderate and appreciative audience, were held in two categories: the Humorous Speech and Speech Evaluation, and the winners will go on to represent St Vincent and the Grenadines in the District contest in October 2013 in Puerto Rico.

John and Joseph placed first and second respectively in the Humorous Speech Contest, while in the Speech Evaluation Contest, Jackson was first and Onu second.

Toastmaster Ellsworth John, better known for his diplomatic status, had keen competition from three other contestants while Toastmaster Inga Jackson, an assistant engineer at VINLEC, prevailed against seven other contestants.
