The lifeless body of the 13-year-old was found on August 22 by his father, Leon Joseph.
Leacock, who revealed that this incident was approximately his fourth electrocution experience, stated that it was a very sad occasion for the community.
âWhen you see people are being electrocuted, itâs always a very nerve wrenching experience, especially a young one,â Leacock said.
âI was actually on my way to a funeral and I was diverted from thatâ¦because this had to take priority, being my constituency.â
John was found at the back of his home on Thursday by his father, who said he believed that the boyâs death was the result of an electrical fault.
The deceased was a student of the Thomas Saunders Secondary School and was set to enter the second form in September. (BK)
