Residents of Evesham invited to community discussion hosted by NTRC

The public is invited to attend a community discussion which will be hosted by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) at Evesham tomorrow evening.{{more}}

The event, which will be held at the Learning Resource Centre, will begin at 7 p.m., and will include presentations by senior officials from the NTRC.

The topics to be discussed include: the increasing role that the NTRC is playing within the telecom sector; the internet, school and payphone projects being implemented by the NTRC and the upcoming projects that Vincentians will benefit from; issues affecting residents in Evesham with respect to the telecommunications services being provided by LIME, Digicel and Karib Cable; cyber security which involves technologies and processes designed to protect computers, networks and data from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities and attacks delivered through the Internet by cyber criminals.
