King was laid to rest last week Friday, July 26, at the Kingstown cemetery, following an emotional service at the Church of God Worldwide Mission, in Redemption Sharpes, not too far from where the ‘Vincy Patriot’ resided.

Known for his appearances at sporting and cultural events in the national colours of St Vincent and the Grenadines, and national flag, King was indeed a patriot. King died on July 17 at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, after losing his battle with colon cancer.
