Taiwanese medical team offers services

Since the twinning of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital and the Changua Christian Hospital of Taiwan in 2010, at the request of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment,{{more}} three medical teams from Taiwan have visited this country to deliver health care services at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

In this regard, the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment welcomed a new team of medical doctors and nurses to St Vincent and the Grenadines on Sunday, July 21, 2013. The team will offer services here in this country until Friday, August 9, 2013.

This year, the areas of medical specialty are:

o Anesthesiology

o Chest Internal Medicine

o Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology

o Emergency Medicine

The nurses will serve in the areas of Accident and Emergency and Anesthesia.

Dr Charles Woods, acting medical director of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, and Ynolde Smart, acting hospital administrator, are coordinating the visit on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment.
