According to police reports, Alexanderâs vehicle, a light brown Hyundai car, P1453, ran off the road onto a retaining wall.
Reports further stated that Alexander, along with three other occupants, were returning home from a âfeteâ held at Huffles the night before.
Alexander was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) with injuries about his body.
He succumbed to his injuries later that day.
The other passengers, according to police reports, were Adla Browne, 35, of Dasent Cottage, Cassandra Laborde, 43, of Lowmans Hill, and Delon Horne, 34, of Campden Park.
The three also received injuries and were taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Horne, according to reports, was released the same day.
The two other passengers remained patients at the MCMH up to press time.
The deceasedâs father, Gosfield Charles, told SEARCHLIGHT on Tuesday that he last spoke to his son last Friday night.
The two spent the evening of fun and laughter playing dominos at the shop located in the yard where Alexander resided in Old Buff, Campden Park.
âAll of us were here and the lady said she was going to close the shop and I went to a karaoke. So, he locked up. So thatâs the last time we spoke,â the father said.
âIâm feeling real sad, because we were close. Dexter was a nice guy, but like anyone else he had his ups and downs.
âIf you mess with him, he will curse you, but other than that he was a nice guy to me, real nice,â he added.
Alexander was the first child of his fatherâs seven children.
His other siblings were all girls.
The father disclosed that his son, who was employed as a driver for Marine and General, was a kind and loving individual who looked out for his family.
Charles also said that he was of the opinion that his son âfell asleepâ behind the wheel.
âThatâs my belief,â he said.
âHe got his head mash up, broken hands and feetâ¦.
âHe died the Saturday afternoon from head injuries,â he added.
Meanwhile, Patsy John, the lady who is employed at the shop where Alexander resided, was lost for words to describe how she felt about what transpired.
âHeâs my brother-in-law. My friend, brother; he was everything to me. I knew him for five years and it was every day â seven days a week, I had to deal with him.
âHe was more to me a brother than my own brothers. We were very close,â she said.
âHow I feel about his death? Words canât describe it.
âWe ate out of the same pot. We played dominos, cards and we did almost everything….â John further stated.
Alexander was the father of two children. Junior, 7, and a two-year-old girl Aniya.
