SEARCHLIGHT understands that an officer, name given as Sunil Barker, was shot in the foot during the early hours of J’Ouvert morning, while on duty.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that he was shot by another police officer, who was also on duty.

Two police officers, Sergeant Julius Morgan and Constable Orlando Collins are presently on trial for the shooting of one of their colleagues, Corporal Milford Edwards, during a police operation at Rose Place in December last year.

A third officer, Constable Adrian Forde, who was charged along with Morgan and Collins, had his case dismissed.
