A conference is being held today by the National Youth Council (NYC) in an effort to mobilise young people to build St Vincent and the Grenadines through their voluntary involvement in organisations.{{more}}
The topic of the conference, which takes place at Frenches House from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., is âThe role of youth in an ever changing technological environmentâ.
The conference is being supported by the Non State Actors Panel, funded by the European Union Development Fund.
The conference will cater for over 100 youths from across the state, who would be addressed by NYC officials, Non State Actors Panel, the Minister of Youth, along with panels to look at: The role of youth in an ever changing technological society; the role of the NYC in youth development in SVG; and Volunteerism â its role in youth work development.
The mobilisation conference is being held ahead of a conference of delegates for the NYC, scheduled for July 2013.
