The team, made up of persons from Tulip Grove Baptist Church and LifeWay Christian Resources of Tennessee, arrives in St Vincent and the Grenadines tomorrow, June 22 and will depart on June 29.

LifeWay Christian Resources is recognized as one of the largest providers of Christian literature and resources in the world. Employing over 4,000 persons, LifeWay is visiting SVG for the first time and it is hoped that this country can be added to the list of over 160 countries around the world in which LifeWay currently operates. LifeWay is the chief supplier of Bibles, videos and other Christian resources for the Southern Baptist Convention in the USA.

Special nightly services will be held at Glen Baptist Church from Monday to Thursday, commencing at 7 p.m. These services will be preceded by a courtesy refreshment.

On Tuesday, June 25, a pastors’ seminar will be held at Young Island Resort from 10 a.m, where over 25 local pastors will benefit from the expertise and experience of one of the missionaries, Pastor Estriberto Britton.

Other activities of the week include several visits to primary and secondary schools, morning and afternoon sessions of community evangelism and a showing of the film “Courageous” on Sunday night at the Glen Baptist Church.

The team will spend their last day on Friday, June 28, pursuing a semi-formal agenda, which includes some sightseeing along the windward side of the island, some city shopping and a lunch of honour given by their hosts. The pastor and members of the Glen Baptist Church will fellowship with the team at an Evangelism Splash at the church grounds. This Splash would coincide with the launch of a new initiative of the church dubbed “Friday Night Lime”, which would provide a recreational space for the Christian, especially the young people, to have fun in a friendly, relaxed environment.

The ‘Lime’ would provide activities such as board games and karaoke, among other things.
