Abdoussala obtained a 93.94 per cent grade in English, 88.33 for General Paper and 85 per cent for Math.
âI thought it would have been the other way around, where I would have achieved more in General Paper and less for English,â the 11-year-old told SEARCHLIGHT yesterday.
âGeneral Paper was not that challenging, but the English, it was the exact opposite, because it took a lot of hard work and concentration, but I am satisfied with the results,â the Pembroke resident said.
Abdoussala, the daughter of Ruby McLean, placed 11th for girls and 23rd overall.
With the Girlsâ High School her secondary school of choice, Abdoussala admitted that she would have to âwork harderâ in order to achieve her goal of becoming a lawyer.
Abdoussala has the distinction of being the only student placing first in English.(AA)
