Dr Scott’s lecture postponed – UWI Open Campus

The lecture, which had been scheduled to be delivered this Thursday, by University of the West Indies (UWI) historian Dr Cleve Scott, has been postponed until futher notice.{{more}}

A notice from the UWI Open Campus said Scott, and sponsors of the lecture series BDS Nice Radio are involved in “a scheduled carnival activity that clashes with the lecture”.

Scott’s lecture is entitled “Who Na No, Na No!”: History writing and the epiphanic crisis of naming National Heroes in a Postcolonial Multi-island Nation State.”

The UWI Open Campus expressed regret at the inconvenience caused, and said they would inform the public as soon as a new date is finalized.

The lecture forms part of a public education series organized by the Open Campus, in collaboration with Joachim Associates and BDS Nice radio.
